NFTs allow you to claim ownership of a digital asset. With a .jpg or .mp3, anyone can make a copy and have the exact same version as the original. When a file is minted as an NFT and stored on a blockchain, traceable ownership is assigned to the asset. If anyone tries to contest this ownership, there will always be data evidence on a blockchain to prove its true owner.
