Go to ‘Collect’ on the top navigation bar to start exploring Async artwork. Here, you’ll find galleries of all the artwork available to purchase on Async. Choose from the following options: Art, Music or Blueprints.
Click onto the page of the artwork you would like to buy. You will find an option to place a bid and a buy now price. Select the option you prefer.
You can choose to purchase an artwork immediately if the artist has listed a buy now price. You will need to ensure you have enough ETH in your wallet to do so. Simply click ‘Buy now’ and your wallet should open for you to approve the transaction. The transaction will take a few moments to process. When it’s complete, the funds will automatically be transferred out and in exchange, the artwork will be sent to your wallet.
Place a bid
You will need to place a bid that meets the reserve price in order to trigger an auction. If the reserve is met, the auction timer will begin to count down. The auction can last between 1 hour and 3 days, depending on what was set by the artist. The auction will count down until the time expires or a new bid comes in.
It is possible to place a bid below the reserve price but this price exists to signal to the bidder that they should bid an amount above the reserve in order for the artist to seriously consider accepting it.
Type in the amount of ETH you'll be bidding with, click on 'Place a bid' and let the transaction go through. The artist will need to manually accept the bid on their end, and once they do, an email confirmation will be sent to your account and the art will automatically be transferred to your wallet.
If a couple of days go by without any action, it probably means the bid was too low. You can always withdraw your bid on the same art page or increase your bid to have the artist reconsider.
Note: your current bid funds are automatically sent back to you if you are outbid.
